Antioxidants

Oxygen is crucial to all life, but it can produce free radicals called 'oxidants'.  Free radicals are normally produced from many of the body's everyday stresses, such as pollution in the environment,  exercise, alcohol, ultraviolet light and fatty diets.

Antioxidants are naturally-occurring compounds in foods, which neutralise free radicals.
